Mimi Chen


Mimi Chen (SAG-AFTRA) is a long-time actor, having been part of productions of David and Lisa, Carmen, in the Bridgewater play productions and also in Los Angeles working with Firerose Productions in plays such as Teahouse of the August Moon and Memoirs of a Ninja. She was cast in a recurring co-star role for a CBS network sitcom (We Are Men) and has been spotted in various commercials for Google, Subaru and Capital One. She also has had side gigs as a voice actor, voice dubbing K-Dramas and Asian Animation projects, and has produced over 200 radio commercials. She is a long time member of the Decameron Hollywood Project producing One Minute Play Festivals being held in Los Angeles at the Whitefire Theater, The Namba Center in Ventura and Tokyo.  She has taught musical theater at the Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood, as well as other types of performing art classes for After School Programs in Oxnard.  Ms Chen has trained at various institutions, including Juilliard, Alvin Ailey, and The Jose Limon School as well as studied with famed acting coaches Brian Reise and Diane Christensen.

Shelley Godfrey 

Shelley has been teaching for over 20 years in Westlake Village and Ventura. She completed her BA and K-8 teaching credential from Point Loma Nazarene College. Shelley lives in Camarillo with her husband and two of her 4 children. She loves playing pickleball, reading, and playing games with her family.

Emily Hall



Emily Hall is a CMA teacher and resident voice coach for the Ventura Studio.  Emily is the director of Ojai’s Madrigali renaissance choir and vocal director of OYES productions and the show choir. She has been the vocal director and a performer at numerous Ventura County theaters. Emily received her B.M. in vocal performance from the University of Redlands.

Roberta Holt


Roberta Holt is a passionate and experienced dance instructor with a strong background in choreography and dance curriculum development. She traveled around the country to gain various styles of dance training including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Phoenix to name a few. She toured with multiple dance companies around LA and Ventura Counties. She earned her BA in Performing Arts from CSUCI and has over 8 years of experience teaching dance in schools, after school programs and intensive camps for K-12. She received an Education Specialist Credential from CSUN and works with our county’s at-risk youth as a teacher and dance instructor for grades 9-12.

Emily Tosh

Originally from Canada, Emily grew up in the theater, performing in numerous professional productions as a child. She trained in the Grant MacEwan College Theatre Arts program in Edmonton before pursuing her BA in Acting in Liverpool, UK at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.) She then went on to complete her masters in Film and Television at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.)
Upon completing her education, Emily moved to London where she performed in film, commercials, plays and in main stage musicals. She went on to play "Sophie" for several years in the original international tour of Mamma Mia! before settling in Los Angeles in 2007. Emily has enjoyed a diverse career, performing in stage productions (“Rita” in Lucky Stiff, “Svetlana” in Chess, “Trina” in Falsettoland, "Lady Mac Duff" in Macbeth) commercials, film and television shows (Criminal Minds, Melrose Place, Tiny Plastic Men) as an actor, and as a singer, songwriter and session vocalist for various artists, bands and musical projects. 
Emily moved to Ventura County in 2019 to raise her two sons (now ages 6 and 8) and has been enjoying rediscovering the joy of the arts through the eyes of her children. She is the current director and teacher for Ladybug Music Ventura, an award winning parent and me music program for young children.


Adam Tune


Adam grew up listening to his dad play trombone in orchestras and big bands, and started playing clarinet in elementary school. In his teens, he started learning guitar and writing his own songs, and by his senior year in high school, he produced an album for his solo project and distributed CDs.  Adam studied Composition and Arranging at Azusa Pacific University, where he was a Music Theory TA and tutor. He's motivated by an intense curiosity and passion for music. He's never found a chord or scale he didn't find intriguing.
